Introduction:
Sword Health is seeking a Doctoral-level Clinical Psychologist to join our new mental health initiative in a full time position. This is a unique opportunity to found the clinical team of an initiative aimed at reshaping the way mental health support is provided.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a truly transformative, personalized experience for our members. This is not just another clinical role — it’s a unique opportunity to use your deep clinical expertise to engage directly with members, supporting them as they adopt lifestyle changes across exercise, sleep, nutrition, and mindfulness, while having a direct influence on shaping and evolving our innovative care programs. You'll be at the forefront of combining human connection with cutting-edge digital health solutions, making a measurable impact on mental health outcomes at scale.
What you'll be doing:
- Conduct video intake calls with new members to assess their symptoms, functioning, and daily habits (exercise, sleep, mindfulness).
- Design personalized programs using a combination of movement, sleep and mindfulness activities to address member goals and that fit seamless into their day-to-day lives
- Provide real-time support via the companion app, offering psychoeducation, celebrating successes, troubleshooting barriers, and adjusting activities based on ongoing feedback.
- Analyze member engagement data, reassessment results (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7), and outcomes to continuously evolve and personalize the care plan.
- Use member insights and feedback to collaborate with the product team and clinical leadership to refine the solution and member experience.
- Analyze program outcomes and identify trends or pain points that could inform future improvements.
- Contribute to optimizing the workflow for specialists, ensuring that both member-facing and internal processes are efficient and impactful.

What you need to have:
- Passion about our missing to transform mental health care delivery
- Passion for working directly with people in an empathetic and compassionate way
- PhD / PsyD in Clinical Psychology; preference given to Health Psychology specialization
- Fully Licensed (i.e., able to work independently, without supervision from a licensed supervisor) without current, past, or pending disciplinary action (position not currently open to individuals accruing hours towards licensure)
- 5+ years of independently licensed clinical experience working directly with the adult population
- Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and/or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Demonstrated ability to guide patients in making lifestyle changes related to physical activity, sleep, nutrition, and/or mindfulness
